Place of Birth: Krems an der Donau, Lower Austria, Austria
Nationality: Austrian

Artistic Media & Practice

Works across drawing, printmaking, photography, computer drawing, reverse glass painting, and sculpture (wood, iron, aluminum, concrete).
Since the late 1980s, Zogmayer has created site-specific art projects including liturgical and architectural commissions in Vienna, Brussels, Bonn, Innsbruck, New York, and more.
In the early 1990s, his practice evolved from expressive narrative painting/drawing to stereometric installations and text-based works, integrating words into monochrome fields and steel/aluminum forms placed in architectural contexts. Themes focus on beauty, time, intercultural dialogue, spirituality, and a reductive/iconoclastic aesthetic.
